Johnson County Community Health Services has played a vital role in the PUBLIC HEALTH of Johnson County, Missouri since it’s beginning in 1975. The American Public Health Association defines Public Health as, “Public health promotes and protects the health of people and the communities where they live, learn, work and play. While a doctor treats people who are sick, those of us working in public health try to prevent people from getting sick or injured in the first place. We also promote wellness by encouraging healthy behaviors.”
It is our goal to promote, educate, protect and “improve the quality of life” for all citizens of Johnson County through our Public Health Services. Please visit the areas below to view all the PUBLIC HEALTH services we offer.
