I’m moving to Missouri. Can I get benefits there?
You will need to provide proof of residency when you apply for WIC benefits. Examples include a utility bill, your lease or a rent receipt from your landlord, or a mortgage receipt. We can also accept a written statement from a reliable Third Party with knowledge of applicant’s/participant’s regular or night time location.
For eligibility information, visit the Eligibility Page or call us at (660) 747-2012. We are happy to help you find out if you qualify for the WIC Program in Missouri.
I’m moving out of state. Can my WIC benefits be transferred?
At your last appointment in our clinic, it is important to let the WIC staff know that you are moving out of state. They will give you paperwork to take to the state where you are going. This paperwork will make the transition much smoother. WIC is available in all 50 states. Visit this website (http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/toll-free-numbers-wic-state-agencies) to find the telephone number to call in your state. They will help you find the nearest WIC location to where you are living.
Can Men participate in WIC?
Yes, most definitely! WIC recognizes the important role that fathers, grandfathers and male caregivers are in caring for their children. Fathers and other caregivers of children under the age of 5 are welcome and encouraged to enroll and bring their children to appointments, use WIC coupons in grocery stores, and receive nutrition counseling.
Do I have to have a scheduled appointment?
In order to provide you with the best services, we request that you make an appointment at our clinic by calling (660) 747-2012. We strongly recommend that you keep your appointment time, and if you are unable to come when you were originally scheduled, please let us know as soon as possible.
