Johnson County Community Health Services (JCCHS) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded two grants from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The two grants totaling $4,100 are part of the Retail Standards Grant Program and will allow JCCHS to conduct a self-assessment study and training in order to identify areas for improvement in the Environmental Public Health program.
“These grants will allow us to attend needed training and then conduct a self-assessment study of our program so we can better determine where to focus our energies” said Tiffany Klassen, environmental specialist. “We are always looking to improve what we do in order to better serve our communities and provide the best possible standards of service.”
The Environmental Public Health office at JCCHS enforces the Missouri and Johnson County food codes and regulations to ensure the safety of our communities. Food safety inspection reports for Johnson County food establishments can be found online at www.johnsoncountyhealth.org.
