November 24, 2021 Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Nov. 23, 2021) – Johnson County Community Health Services (JCCHS), in accordance to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services’ (DHSS) amended state’s standing order, is offering booster shots of both Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech for all vaccinated adults.

JCCHS offers first, second, and booster COVID-19 vaccines every Wednesday during a Walk-in Wednesday COVID Vaccine Clinic from 1 to 4:30 PM at 723 PCA Road in Warrensburg, Mo. No appointment is needed. Times may change during the holiday season.

Following federal guidance issued from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), DHSS has amended Missouri’s standing order for Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine administration. Those who received either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine can receive a booster shot at least six months after their initial series.

Those who are 18 or older and fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are eligible for a booster shot:

  • At least 2 months after a 1-dose vaccine of Janssen/Johnson & Johnson, or
  • At least 6 months after a 2-dose vaccine of Pfizer BioNTech or Moderna.

To view the state’s updated standing orders, please visit https://health.mo.gov/living/healthcondiseases/communicable/novel-coronavirus/statewide-orders.php

Missourians are encouraged to speak with their healthcare provider about whether a booster shot is right for them.
