WARRENSBURG, Mo. (January 19, 2022) – Johnson County Community Health Services (JCCHS) is hosting a free, COVID-19 drive-thru testing event on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church at 1302 Maguire Street in Warrensburg, Mo. This is a free PCR test for symptomatic individuals. Pre-registration and appointments required.
Due to the high demand for COVID-19 testing, JCCHS is offering this free event to help slow the spread of COVID-19 across the region. Symptomatic Individuals must register and schedule an appointment prior to the event.
Visit https://johnsoncountyhealth.org/covid-testing/ to register. After registering, each person will be sent an email with directions to select an appointment time. Anyone with questions or help registering can call JCCHS at (660) 641-3096 OR (660) 641-3306.
This is a PCR nasal swab used to detect an active COVID-19 virus. All samples are sent to the Missouri State Lab, with results expected within 24 to 48 hours. JCCHS staff will contact all individuals with the results.
Those who receive a COVID-19 test are encouraged to remain isolated until results are received. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that anyone who has a positive COVID-19 result should stay home and isolate for five days. If you have no symptoms or symptoms are resolving after five days, you can leave your house and wear a mask around others for five additional days.
