Fifth Confirmed COVID-19 Death for Johnson County

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO (September 25, 2020) – Johnson County Community Health Services (JCCHS) is saddened to announce the fifth confirmed COVID-19 death in Johnson County.

The death occurred early Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, and is the second death this week. The 84 year-old resident was being treated for COVID-19 related symptoms and resided in a long-term care facility.

All Johnson County residents are reminded to stay home when you don’t feel well. Even the mildest symptoms can spread and become more severe for others.

If you suspect that you have COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, call your healthcare provider to let them know before seeking care. It is critical that your provider is aware you may have COVID-19 prior to your arrival at a healthcare facility, and that you follow all instructions.
