COVID-19 Vaccine in Johnson County

January 7, 2021 Filed Under: Uncategorized Leave a Comment

WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Jan. 7, 2021) – COVID-19 vaccinations in Johnson County are underway with Phase 1-A. Johnson County Community Health Services (JCCHS) is following guidance from the State of Missouri’s COVID-19 vaccination plan, which takes a phased approach.

Currently, the state is in Phase 1-A. As more vaccine becomes available, the county will move forward into Phase 1-B based on the state’s schedule. The vaccination phases can be viewed at https://covidvaccine.mo.gov/.

JCCHS is working closely with local partners to begin the transition into Phase 1-B for the COVID-19 vaccine.  This next phase may begin as early as February. Johnson County will move into each phase as approved by the State of Missouri.

Residents across Johnson County interested in being added to a vaccination list and receive updates are strongly encouraged to complete the COVID-19 Vaccination Survey at johnsoncountyhealth.org/covid-19-vaccine-in-johnson-county/. This information will help the county prepare for upcoming vaccination clinics.

All phases are based on vaccine availability and guidance from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

JCCHS can only provide the vaccine based on the pre-determined phases. It has not yet been determined by the state when the county can move to vaccinating those eligible in the next phases.
