JOHNSON COUNTY, MO (September 29, 2020) – It is with a heavy heart that Johnson County Community Health Services (JCCHS) announces another confirmed COVID-19 death, making the total six deaths for Johnson County.
The 83 year-old resident passed away late Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 due to COVID-19 related symptoms and resided in a long-term care facility.
All Johnson County residents are reminded to stay home when you don’t feel well. Even the mildest symptoms can spread and become more severe for others.
Residents are encouraged to continue taking all safety precautions to include social distancing, wearing a mask or face covering, and limit social gatherings.
It is also extremely important to stay home when under isolation or quarantine to limit unintentional exposure to others.
If you suspect that you have COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, call your healthcare provider to let them know before seeking care. It is critical that your provider is aware you may have COVID-19 prior to your arrival at a healthcare facility, and that you follow all instructions.
