Memorial events provide an opportunity to come together with others in the community who have also experienced loss. We offer a variety of events for personal reflection and remembering.
The Memory Tree of Lights is an annual fundraiser sponsored by Johnson County Hospice Volunteers. For many families, the holidays can be very difficult after a loss, and familiar traditions that used to bring joy can be painful when a loved one has passed. The Memory Tree of Lights offers an opportunity to participate in an annual remembrance of loved ones, to honor someone, or to support hospice services. Using hospice services is not a requirement to participate. A $5 donation lights a bulb on the Memory Tree. All funds raised are used to directly support the hospice program for the patients, their families and the volunteer program. Click HERE for Memory Tree of Lights coupon.
We sponsor an Annual Quilt Raffle that raises money to benefit our hospice patients. The quilt is usually displayed in our lobby, but will travel as well to fairs and churches. We are always seeking donations of quilts for both our raffle and to give to our hospice patients. If you make quilts, or know someone who does, and would like to donate to Johnson County Hospice, please contact us at 660-747-6121.
